VANITY FLAIR OR PUBLICITY STUNT?

These artists are known and loved for their ever-changing ways to woo the public everytime they make an appearence, and are the most talked about celebrities on music blogs such as: www.popsugar.com, www.purseblog.com and www.businessinsider.com/most-famous-celebrities. Some say they come off this way because its who they are, while some say these artist are just attention seekers and they just love constantly appearing and giving the public something to talk about, while also getting some free publicity on the side.

Lady Gaga, ever since her very first appearence has always come off as this loud, outspoken and daring bad girl, and this Vanity Flair Cover of her's really stood out, as it showed a different side of her and got fans wondering; "Are we going to see Lady Gaga the Lady"? "Is tjis cover a sneak-peak of the new, mature and reserved Lady Gaga"? and I too was very confused. so what was it really?

 

Pink has always come off as this "Out Of Control, In Your Face Kinda Girl". With her wierd dress codes and hair styles. Some say she is just Crazy, while some, like me, just love her and think she is just very goo at bieng herself,while getting publicity and making a good name for hersrelf.
Is this really who pink is?

Was the Red Hair a new look or a publicty stunt?



Riri really wowed us all back min 2011 when she first appeared with the "Red Hair". I just thought it was a good thing, especially after the heart-ache and the  embarrassement she endured with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. thought it was good for her to start everything afresh. some people though saw right through the whole "new look thing as an excuse to get free publicity from Riri's side.
 
 
 
Are these artists just attention seekers who would do just about anything to get free publicity or does publicity always follow them wherever they go?

    I think all these celebrities do what they do for publicity. The more publicity you get the more people will talk about you. The red hair that Rihanna did is all part of a publicity stunt i would say.

    I believe that every single musician has got a talent. There is no such thing as attention seeker. We people give them attention because we aucknoledge their hard work.

    Tshepi has a point, almost all American musician only seek exposure and publicity. They are not doing what they do because they love it and enjoy doing it or beacause that is who they are, but they do all that because they want to be seen, known and want fame.

    I think publicity follows them because they are trend setters. The media knows that the public loves and does what they do so the media is where they are to get trends and because they are public figures. Even if they were seeking attention, if they do get it then it's a good thing.

    Personally, I love Riri, even after she grew up to be this 'bad girl'. The media sometimes turns you into something you aren't, to make money out of you. And if you allow it, you will fall for it. Cal them attention-seekers or whatever, we has the people, as fans,have given them the go-head to be the way they are.
